Expansion of Judiciary E-Services Announced
The Judiciary has announced that its online appointment services will now include filing for personal bankruptcy and probate applications in the High Court starting Friday.
People who don’t have a lawyer can book online appointments to go to the High Court Registry and file for their own bankruptcy.
Users of the “iAM Smart” app can use a feature that automatically fills in their personal information for these online appointments.
This automatic filling feature will be added to more online appointment services based on how well it works, according to the Judiciary.
Also, the Probate Registry’s online appointment service for grant applications will now include probate applications.
People without a lawyer can book online appointments to submit applications for a grant with a will.
The Judiciary noted that earlier online appointment services have been mostly well received and mentioned that these services save time for court users by reducing waiting in line.
